Riding for the disabled Quest Chobham Surrey

QUEST RDA

Ways To Donate

Quest does not receive any state funding or aid.  As a charitable organisation, it is entirely reliant upon fundraising and donations. The group requires funds of around £40,000 per year just to keep running and additional funding is required to support improvements in infrastructure and our expansion plans to cater for more participants and offer other services.

All donations directly benefit our participants and horses (none of our volunteers or trustees are paid) and even a small donation goes a long way and there are many ways you can help:

  • Make a one off or regular donation via our Just Giving page.

  • Make a one off donation with cash or cheque, contact us at fundraising@questrda.org.

  • Make a donation to cover specific running costs or the purchase of a new pony or to sponsor specific key events.  Contact us at fundraising@questrda.org

  • Organise an event of your own and get sponsored; learn more on our Just Giving page.

  • Ask your employer; they may be able to make a donation, contribute on Payroll Giving, or match your fundraising.

  • Arrange corporate sponsorship by adopting Quest as your business charity!  Contact us at fundraising@questrda.org

  • Join our active fundraising team.  Contact us at fundraising@questrda.org

Sponsorship

Sponsorships can be provided by individuals or corporations to contribute towards the annual running costs of Quest RDA, to purchase new ponies, support major events hosted by Quest or specific initiatives to extend or improve our services.

The different types of sponsorship are listed below under three categories –specific annual costs directly associated with our ponies,  major events and new projects and initiatives.

Annual Running Costs – Sponsorships

If you are interested in making a donation to help with our annual running costs, please contact us at fundraising@questrda.org

Major Event Sponsorship

Quest RDA has two major fundraising events which are:

Quest RDA normally holds a ball once every two years.  It is our single most important and prestigious fundraising event and is attended by around 200 people.  Our recent guest speakers at this event have been – Sophie Christiansen CBE, winner of eight gold medals at the Paralympics who also gained 5th place in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2016, Mary King MBE who has been a stalwart of the British Eventing Team having represented Great Britain at six Olympic Games as well as numerous World and European Championships and Alastair Stewart the newscaster and presenter.

With the sponsor’s permission we can offer PR opportunities.  These would include posting the sponsors name, logo, and brief message on our website and on our other social media (Facebook and Instagram); we can help produce a joint press release for general use and on our own press release for specific local media we can refer to any sponsor.  At the ball event itself we can acknowledge any sponsor on the ball programme/menu with a short message as well as on any posters/banners at the venue and on any materials distributed for marketing purposes ahead of the ball.

Each year we hold a Quest RDA Sponsored Ride.  This is one of our major fund-raising events and attracts riders from Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire.  Each rider pays an entrance fee and may also have sponsors.  The event is held at the Bisley and Sandown Chase Pony Club field on Dunstall Green near Chobham.  Three different trails are set out across Chobham Common (2, 5 and 12 miles) so that riders of all abilities can participate.  The event attracts around 150 riders and several hundred supporters also attend and can enjoy other events and activities set up on the field.

With the sponsors permission we can offer PR opportunities similar to those referenced for the Ball.

If you are interested in making a donation to help with our Ball or Sponsored Ride then please contact us at fundraising@questrda.org

New Projects and Initiatives Sponsorship

Quest RDA is looking to purchase two more suitable ponies and tack.

If you are interested in helping in this respect then please contact us at fundraising@questrda.org

Let’s Make Things Happen

We could not continue without the dedication of our volunteers but we entirely rely on our fundraising activities and the generous support of our individual and corporate sponsors and donors to pay for the care of our horses and equipment and to allow us to extend our services so that we can better address the ever-present demand for our services and reduce our waiting list.

“Riding with the RDA has totally changed my life. Not only have I won Paralympic gold medals, but riding and sport have taught me skills to improve my daily life – I am more able and confident, allowing me to fulfill my potential in all areas of my life, including making friends, living independently and in employment.”
