December was excellent month with four students from both Philip Southcote School in Chertsey and St. Philip’s School in Chessington being awarded their RDAUK Horse Care Grade 1 Proficiency badges.

To pass this badge the students needed to show that they know how to approach a pony correctly and safely, be able to show the following parts of the pony; Eyes, Ears, Mouth, Neck and Leg and these parts of the saddle and bridle; reins, girth, bit and stirrups.
The students were all delighted to receive the certificates and badges marking these awards and it gives them a huge sense of achievement improving confidence and self-esteem.
Well done everyone!
